Most shopping sites are built around the store. This one is built around the brand, because that is how people actually shop — you trust a maker before you trust a listing, and you want to know whether that trust is still deserved.
So every brand here gets its own page: what it makes, what it competes on, and what to check before you accept that its next model is an upgrade. Underneath sit the comparisons, built from the specifications each manufacturer publishes and linked back to the document they came from.
What we do not do is test. There is no lab behind these pages and no score at the bottom of them, because we have not measured anything ourselves. How we compare sets out exactly where the line runs, including the things this site cannot yet tell you — price is the largest of them.
What we sell
Nothing, and today we earn nothing either: there are no commercial links on this site yet. When there are, every one of them will be disclosed on the page it appears on, before you click it rather than after. If we ever sell our own products, they will be labelled as ours and compared on the same published specifications as everything else — and they will never be allowed to win their own comparison.
